Hi, I am Michelle Horncastle

I was born and raised in Saskatchewan. My dad bought me my first DSLR when I was 19. I got really into nature and landscape photography when I spent a year travelling Australia in 2014/2015. I rediscovered my love for photography a few years later when I moved to Northern BC and started climbing mountains. I always joked I didn’t know if I actually liked hiking or if I just liked the photos I got from a day out exploring.

When I moved back to Saskatchewan in September of 2020 I wasn't sure how I would stay inspired and incorporate photography into my life. After assisting a local lifestyle/portrait photographer in the Battleford I was inspired to start dabbling in photographing human subjects myself and I started Horncastle Photography in July 2021.

My goal is to capture the special moments in my clients lives (engagements, milestones, growing families), Often times with their loved ones. I love to capture images in beautiful natural settings often in locations that have sentimental meaning to my clients. I also have a soft spot for in home sessions (there is nothing more personal) than photos in your own home.
